Supporting Teachers who Support Student Transition: Why, What, & How.
Striving for inclusive excellence in higher education: what can be learnt from the START project
Erasmus+ START project would like to invite
– those involved in higher education (HE) teaching professionalisation activities,
– those working on making HE more inclusive,
– HE leaders, and
– faculty/educational/staff developers
to join the STARTfinal online dissemination event on 11th of April 2025 10.30-12.00 CEST.
The event will share resources created by five European universities and a European youth NGO who have worked together on the Erasmus+ START project funded by the European Union, resources aimed at:
(1) making HE teachers aware of challenges first-year undergraduate students face, and the important role those who teach first-year undergraduates have in student transition to HE;
(2) supporting HE teachers in reflection on their own teaching practices – in relation to how effective these are in supporting student transition to HE (so as to identify own strengths and next professional development goals);
(3) helping those who teach first-year undergraduates find tools and tips for the challenges they face as teachers (in supporting first-year undergraduates); and
(4) creating links with the pre-HE sector.
Please sign up here to receive the event link.
Best regards and looking forward to seeing you on April 11th,
On behalf of the START project team,
Maria Yarosh
START Project Coordinator
